You probably won't use them all. The letters have stayed on so far. This is how I applied the letters and numbers. First, I cut the letters and numbers that I needed and arranged them in the order that I needed. Then, I taped the back portion of the "sticky protector" and fined tuned the alignment. Then, I took masking tape and put it over the face of the letters and numbers (it took a few passes to get it all). Then, I peeled the sticky protector the back of the letter and numbers and transferred the whole thing (on the masking tape) on to my boat. Press down hard and the letters will stick to the boat. Then peel the masking tape off. Everything should be nice and straight as one unit. Tedious? Yes. But it's worth the time and effort to have straight and equally spaced letters. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Great value, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Hardline Products BLK200EC Solid Black Number Factory Matched Registration Kit (Automotive) This registration kit had the right mix of solid letters, and a sufficient set of letters and numbers for our jet ski. I cleaned the hull then prepped it with rubbing alcohol. The letters were easy to apply, I was even able to lift them when I needed to straighten them. The coast guard national rules, that apply to all states, for boat lettering is they must be solid. Many people like the variety of colors and patterns available but I don't want to be hassled or ticketed so I just went along with the rules. |
