Now on DVD for the first time ever are the hilarious 'best of' highlights from 13 episodes of The Jerry Lewis Show, which aired on NBC from 1967-69. 2.0 out of 5 stars The Jerry Lewis Show Collection, December 12, 2009

First Off I could not wait to see this set,the show which aired from 1967-68 has never been syndicated. Now for the bad news!,Infinity has butchered them! first they have replaced the original shows opening with thier own, next they have cut out all the musical acts(probably because they did not want to pay for the rights)so basically all your getting are the shows skits which average 23 minutes and even those are EDITED!.It's good to see them but don't expect anywhere near close to what they originally looked like on air in 1967-68.Thumbs down to Infinity!

We've been spoiled by TV Box Sets that are uncut and play the episodes in their entirety which makes the Jerry Lewis Show Collection seem not worth the money but it is!
For the reviewer who complained about not even having the original show opening titles...well, I've seen the uncut version and the original opening is simply a primitive title card with four index fingers pointing at the guest stars name so your not missing much. If anything, they've improved it.
And as for the sketches being edited...they may be, but it only helps the pacing because they are quite long.
It's a joy to see this show again, in any capacity, and marvel at the energy and playfulness of the performers. I forgot how charming and funny Barbara Feldon was. And you just can't beat Joey Heatherton's legs.
The sketches may not have the bite of SNL but they are a moment in time you can't get back.
Jerry also recreates some of his memorial music mimes like the Typewriter Song and the... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars may not be ideal, but it is still Jerry being Jerry . . ., April 17, 2010
This review is from: The Jerry Lewis Show Collection (DVD)
This two DVD set contains severely edited episodes from The Jerry Lewis show, an hour long variety show that ran on NBC, from 1967 through 1969. Although it would be preferable to have complete unedited episodes, having this material available for the first time in decades, is still a plus for Lewis fans.

Though he may be more known today, for his work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association(MDA), Jerry Lewis was one of the brightest stars in comedy during the 50's and 60's, and is one of the few legends from the golden age of Hollywood, still with us. Lewis and partner Dean Martin, rose to stardom in the 50's with a string of hit buddy comedies, with Jerry, the string bean thin goofball, serving as the foil, to the handsome, suave Martin. After the pair split up, Lewis was hugely successful in vehicles that showcased his madcap comedic style. By 1967, Lewis's feature film career had slowed a bit, and this would also be the year he would begin doing the MDA telethon... Read more
