Perfect for toddlers. Helps them control the blocks and pile them up. There is better control in handling them in order to stack. Smaller wooden blocks are often more difficult.It is also good because you can stack them in 4, and let your child kick them. Great for balance. Don't buy the smaller size. This size is ideal. In the future you can practice numbers since these are large dice. Comes in 12 pieces. Shipped real fast. They aren't quite as big as I thought they would be, but they are definitely bigger than regular dice. They described the dice as being 2 and a half inches and they are only 1 and a half inches. I measured. They are still a nice size for my preschooler, and it is easier for him to count the dots. Since they are made of foam, they are really quiet on the table.
