Cons - 1)The bipod's mounting block is itself too tall. When the bipod legs are folded up they are parallel to the barrel at least 1-1/2 inches below it. The bayonet mount is already low. 2)Had to shave 2mm off the top of the bipod itself in order to match the bolt holes I used original screw. 3)Painted not blued and 4)Its pretty heavy and it doesn't look right hanging so low.
Pros - 1)Easy to use. 2)One handed operation (that is if you can heft the final weight of your SKS with your other). 3)Will probably be easy to resell.

I semi-stripped the bolt by screwing it through the thread-less bayonet holes, because the supplied bolt was a little big. The nut still screws to the bolt, and stays on with a little tightening, but I'm afraid to go too tight. I'll probably replace that part, but otherwise it's completely sturdy and functionally sound. It would be nice if it didn't hang so far from the barrel when folded, but that's just a preference thing, and not a biggie.

THIS BIPOD IS WORTH WAY MORE THAN YOU WILL PAY! WELL BUILT. EASY INSTILLATION. IVE GOT IT ON ALL OF MY SKS'S MY GROUPS AT 100'S INCREASED BY AN INCH! MY GROUPS AT 200 YARDS INCREASED BY 2 1/4 INCHES!!! THIS IS A MUST BUY FOR THE SKS LOVER!!! YOU WONT BE DISSATISFIED. FOLLOW UP SHOTS ARE SMOOTH ....NO LOCTITE, NO MOVEMENT JUST SMOOTH SAILING! ITS A PURE STEAL AT $17!!!!
