The slits in the back and sides allow for great ventilation, especially after wearing it the whole day and working. Pockets are plentiful; I had a previous vest that only had two pockets, and the reason why I bought this was because I wanted something that could hold all my "stuff": iPhone, Flip HD camera (with charger), digital camera, and voice recorder. Needless to say I found ample enough space to hold them all and then some As one of the reviewers mentioned, it does attract ALOT of lint, but that's more semantics than anything else. I bought size M of this product but this seems to be size XL (european). I bought several product of my size. Some of them fit to me some not (fit too large) but this is by far the largest one :(.
