Someone else wrote on here that it dries thick hair well, which is why I bought the dryer. It really does! I have very fine hair and A LOT of it. Blow drying use to take at least 30-45 minutes. With this dryer it took maybe 15? And I didn't have the static-poof going on when I was finished. It's nice and light. I haven't tried the slow or cold settings yet, but the regular speed with the ionic on was fantastic. A really good price for a great little dryer.
