Okay, this is one of those products you hear recommended over and over at CurlTalk, the forum of the NaturallyCurly website. There's a reason it's a word-of-mouth Holy Grail product for curlies and worth the big price, or rather, several reasons:1. Smells crazy good. Every time I open this up to use anywhere near my sisters or relatives, they wanna know what it is that smells so good. 2. It's got lots of nice natural ingredients. 3. It lasts and lasts, cause you only need a tiny eety bitsy bit to do the hair thang. 4. It actually does provide emollience for hair that needs to hold onto its moisture. 5. It does tame frizz (I won't say ELIMINATE, but I will say tame). It helps de-pouf slept-on hair, too. 6. It's excellent for the SOTC (scrunch out the crunch) step for those who use hard hold gels. 7. If there is a more effective product on the market, I haven't found it. My hair magnificently absorbs all of the oils sans the greasy feeling! Along with the Scalp Serum and Renew products, I no longer have any breakage and more importantly, my hair sheds less and has grown from earlobe to below shoulder length. Did I mention that I also use her shampoo and conditioning products? I'm such a fan!! As a side note, I used to purchase the product line directly from her website, but found it at a lower price here at Amazon/Vitamin Shoppe. The few dollars saved went toward postage. Where else can you find a hair and skin care product whose ingredient list isn't full of strange-sounding chemicals? And the scent is so beautiful and delicious. I have been using it to moisturize my skin, hands, and cuticles.I originally bought this because of frizzy, dry hair ... but I ended up using it on my skin instead because my hair stopped being frizzy for other reasons. (I switched to the "no poo" Curly Girl method of hair care at about the same time that I bought this, and my frizz went away ... definitely google that if you have dry frizzy hair.) It's such a good skin moisturizer, and I will definitely use all of it in spite of my lack of frizz. :) Moisturizing with this before bedtime has become a little ritual for me, and the scent just puts me to sleep. |
